Apps For Windows PC

Just a couple of years or so ago, smart phones had taken over the market completely and PC's were on the verge of being phased out. But this is when Microsoft decided that enough was enough and spent a lot of time and effort in developing its smart phone software. And the latest software, Windows Phone 8.1 is one of the best examples of a software manufacturer who has learned from his mistakes. This isn't just any regular update, this is one of the most comprehensive updates I have ever come across in all my years as a phone users. But this article isn't about that. It's about the reason why Microsoft shifted focus to this market.

They were obviously losing customers to tablets and cell phones. Something had to be done. And coming out with a mobile software was the obvious solution. But they didn't just do that. They came out with a mobile software that can't only be used on your smart phone but on your PC as well. And this is where the whole idea of Apps on Windows PC was born. While Windows phone still has a lot of catching up to do as compared to Android or iOS, Windows Phone 8.1 is certainly a giant leap in the right direction. It's just a matter of time before Windows Phone is back up there where it belongs.

But I digress, what I'm more interested in here is the Apps for Windows PC feature. This allows you to use most of your beloved apps from your cell phone on your PC as well. This is quite an extraordinary feature as playing the same games on a large 14 inch screen instead of a tiny 4 inch one definitely is a huge improvement. What's more, you don't lose the portability of the device either. You can enjoy games or apps while at home or work and can take them with you when you go out as well. Everything is synced to the same account which means it doesn't matter whether you are accessing stuff from your phone or your computer, you will be able to access all your files.

This definitely is one of the best innovations of this decade and is surely going to help us go a long way as far as mobile computing is concerned. So while you are waiting for the next big innovation, why don't you brush up on your Temple Run skills on a large 14 inch screen? I guarantee you will not regret it.
